The Architecture and Design Festival programs remark on the state of design and innovation taking place amongst our city’s wealth of creative architectural firms. It is also imperative to acknowledge the young designers that find their place in the profession – those dedicated to finding outlets for their ideas in their formative years.

Submissions will be judged on the merit of design innovation with an emphasis on clarity of concept, effective communication through presentation and work demonstrating new theories, ideas, and approaches to contemporary design.

ELIGIBILITY

Designers that are 30 years of age or younger as of the submission deadline are invited to submit projects to be judged by a panel of distinguished local and regional architects and designers. Participating designers must have completed a degree and can be either licensed or non-licensed professionals. Submissions can be a result of either working as individuals or in collaborative teams. They can be architectural projects, competition submissions, explorations or installations, but cannot be work that would be considered a product of a firm. All team members must meet eligibility requirements.

AWARD

Winners will receive (2) tickets each to the Architecture + Design Festival Gala on October 27th along with a gift certificate for local design related merchandise.

SUBMISSION INFORMATION

Registration by: October 1st

Upon registration completion you will be emailed a confirmation with an 18 digit order confirmation number as well as instructions for how to upload your submission. You will need  to provide the last 8 digits of your confirmation number with your submission materials.

Submission Deadline by: October 17th, 4pm

Submission Fee: equal to your age or oldest team member

Awards Event: October 21st, 7pm at the Center for Architecture
